17:35 Reproducible component tests for microservices using Docker
Microservices architecture has recently become very popular. However, along with it advantages, it brings some challenges as well. With the growing amount of components, testing becomes one of such challenges. In most cases, a microservice is a stateful component that changes its state after a test. We need a better approach that can make the tests independent and reproducible without extra development effort. During our work in this area we have achieved several valuable results that we hope will be useful for the IT industry. First, we have developed a language agnostic approach for component testing that uses Docker as an underlying technology. Second, Java-based library was implemented that uses JUnit and Java Docker Client to execute component tests.

18:25 Java Generics in Depth
The addition of generics in Java 5 was one of the most significant changes ever made to the language. This session will explore why generics where added, how to use them correctly and some of the underlying theory. Lastly, we will also take a peek at some of the suggested improvements and what they will mean in practice.

19:20 What a back-end Java Developer don’t know about the modern web stack
In this JavaOne 2016 (sneak peek) session, we will elaborate on how a modern web tool stack is used to get you and your team productive. After this session, you will know what tools like Yeoman, Grunt, Gulp, Bower and their friends are like. This is not a web framework battle. It’s all about the tooling for productive web development that every Java developer should know about.
