17:35 Modern Business Applications
Nowadays businesses must respond to changes very fast, that in turn puts on IT need to build applications that can rapidly evolve to accommodate changes in business domain.
It usually means tailored systems that are built out of business knowledge. As developers we usually forget about why we build applications and what problems we try to solve.
So what is business knowledge in this context - it's all that is defined and used by domain experts:
• domain model - the what
• various rules that drive decision in the business - the why
• processes that defined the path to achieving business goals - the how
Equipped with the business knowledge a responsive interaction between users and the app itself is crucial. To ease this a tailored interface that is again driven by business domain shall be built that reflects information flow defined. With these tools we put the focus on making sure that what is build will directly help or solve the company's problem.
Above will be presented on this session, by building complete business application backed by business knowledge and then provisioned to runtime environment- even in the cloud.
