NEW! On the fourth Sunday of each month, bring your stringed instrument and join a bluegrass jam at the museum, from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Whether you are a relative newbie to jamming or a seasoned musician, you will enjoy the camaraderie as we share favorite songs and learn from one another. Hosted by Mary Burdette of Grey Fox and Bruce Evans of Fire Hazards. All ages are welcome, as are listeners! Food and drinks for sharing are welcome too. FREE. Donations welcomed at the door.
At Sandy Spring Museum, it’s all about the community. Everything we do, every milestone we celebrate, every artifact and exhibit is here for the community and because of the community. The Museum is a place where people can develop meaningful connections by exploring community history through the visual, literary, and performing arts. In recent years the Museum has evolved from a traditional history museum into a dynamic, participatory cultural arts community center.
Sandy Spring Museum is just 15 miles north of Washington, DC, 15 minutes from Glenmont metro station, nestled between Olney and Columbia, Maryland.
