What we're about
Like playing the ukulele, or interested in picking one up? Want to practice your skills, work on songs in a supportive setting, and jam with others? This may be the meetup for you!
We've been meeting mostly on the first Saturday afternoon of every month. Mostly we do strum-alongs; we have songbooks, and you're invited to bring copies of songs you'd like people to strum along with. It's a low-key, friendly group.
(Here's the current draft of our songbook, if that's of interest: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jmbifo6zckj11z4/ )

This was a group I wanted to join, and I got tired of waiting for somebody else to create it. If you've also been wanting such a thing, welcome aboard!
Upcoming events (4+)
Let's get together (virtually) and strum some ukuleles!
This meetup is in strum-along format. Audio latency (the time it takes sound to go from one person's microphone through the Internet to the next person's headphones) makes traditional strum-alongs impossible, but we're adapting. You can find the current draft of our songbook at https://www.dropbox.com/s/5oo22arol3das28/ if you want to prepare, but also I'll be putting the words and chords onscreen.
If you have a song you want to share that's not in the songbook, you can email it to me at [masked] . (If at all possible, please do this before the day of the event!)
I will send out a message with the Zoom link and password around noon on the day of the event, to people who RSVP here.
(Note: the NYC group is graciously cross-listing this event. If it looks like nobody's coming, don't panic; there may be more attendees signed up over there.)
