"DOING BUSINESS WITH CHINA"

On the occasion of a delegation to Israel of 15 MA students from one of China's leading business schools - the Peking University HSBC Business School in Shenzhen, JBNF is organizing a round table discussion on "Doing Business with China".

The meeting will start at 16:30 sharp and the doors will be closed. The session will last only one hour and must end at 17:30 so that it will not interfer with the next event.

The discussion will be moderated by Prof Avi Kay, Head of the Entrepreneurial Center at JCT, with several Israeli companies doing business with China along with some Israeli MBA students. In addition, we will have Haim Levine, CEO, Finally International Business in China, Ronen Segev, COO & in charge of International Partnerships, Brainsway (http://www.brainsway.com/) , Michael Platt, Invest Hong Kong (http://www.investhk.gov.hk/index.html) (InvestHK) and Ofer Nachson, CEO, IBN (Israel Business Network) (http://www.ibnetwork.co.il/)participating. Jeremy Ben David, JMB David Ben-David (http://www.jmbdavis.com/), a leading global IP legal practice specializing in Patents, Trademarks and Designs that has recently opened up in China, will talk about the pro-business approach to IP that China supports. Finally we will have Ronen Segal, VP R&D, Brainsways Ltd (http://www.brainsway.com/) on their medical device for mental diseases and their plans to go to CHina.

After this event, JBNF will be organizing a second event from 18:00 to 20:30 on "2 Great Serial JLM Entrepreneurs – How They Got It Right" https://www.meetup.com/JerusalemBNF/events/236485653/ with the guests from China. There will be a networking session and coffee break from 17:30 til 18:00.

The Chinese MA student delegation is being organized and led by Kyle Blank, from Motifix (http://www.motifix.com/), a partner company in the Cornerstone Group (http://thecornerstone.co.il/). The 15 Chinese students that were selected for the delegation have gone through a rigorous selection process, which has built a great group of young men and women. The students selected have won national competitions, are getting their masters in management, finance, or economics, ranked in the top 3 of their bachelors programs, and worked for the likes of Tencent, Accenture, Everbright, Reuters, Siemens, and the majority of the domestic banks in China. The purpose of this delegation is to enable these top graduate students to do current and future business in Israel by providing them with an expansive understanding of the Israeli economy & business culture while introducing these students to industry leaders throughout the country.

Mr. Segal has more than 20 years of top leadership roles in various fields including vast hi-tech management experience in a wide range of leading technological groups. In 2004 he co-founded WiTech Communications Ltd., a company providing wireless video solutions for diverse commercial applications, where he served as a Vice President. Prior to this, Ronen served as projects leader for OpTun Inc., where he was responsible for the development of sophisticated fiber-optics communications active switching components. From 1998 to 2000, he worked for the Israeli Navy's development center on a state-of-the-art submarine data communication system. From 1994 to 1998, Mr. Segal served in the Israeli Ministry of Defense’s Advanced Technology Unit. He studied at the Jerusalem College of Technology as part of a special academic reserves project in electro-optical Engineering and applied physics.
