Behind The Scenes: Redesigning Jet.com’s Shopping Experience

Details
About This Meetup
We will be discussing how we blend design, research, A/B testing, and prototyping to evolve our customer experience (CX). We will use our XP shift project, which was an effort to redesign our shopping experience to better demonstrate the value in shopping with Jet. Rather than speak at just a high-level, we will be showing our actual process including – videos of customer testing, design tools and process, collaboration between all players (design, research, dev/prototyping). This type of talk will have broad appeal to developers, designers, researchers, product managers, and anyone in the field of software development.

Ben has over 15 years of experience in product design and research, ranging from e-commerce sites (Jet.com and Amazon) to video games (Xbox) to hardware and mobile devices (Microsoft). Ben uses his extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative user centered research methods to help companies build products that transform customer experiences.
Jessica Anerella, Senior Manager, UI/UX

Jessica is a product designer at Jet where she focuses on the Web experience across Mobile, Tablet and Desktop and also works on Jet's native platforms. Before coming to Jet, she worked in Fashion, Enterprise Software and Legal Tech. She likes to overthink every extreme scenario when designing, believing it will produce the best outcome.
Outside of Jet, you can find Jessica working on a drawing or painting, trying to convince her relatives she is not still growing—they just forget how tall she is, or chasing her dream of being a back up dancer for Beyonce.
