When did you become a Republican and why? Always? Slow transition? Sudden 9/11 shift?

I was always Republican. My parents are Republican, and I was born and raised in Texas. After becoming aware of the Libertarian party I began to identify as Libertarian. However, in elections I always vote Republican because Libertarians don't have a shot. I am very fiscally conservative and believe in the founding fathers' ideals: low taxes and minimal legislation as to preserve our freedom. Everyone has a right to live as he or she chooses in this country so long as it does not infringe upon others' rights.

Who are some of your favorite news personalities, columnists or authors?

I like everyone on Fox News, and I recently saw an interview of Marco Rubio, and I like him.

I'm half-Jewish (mother's side), and my Jewish side of the family is Republican as well as my dad who was raised Catholic. I identify as Libertarian, but I'm registered Republican.
