Please note this Meet Up is only available to paid Members of SWIDN or members of SWEF. To join SWIDN, please go to: https://www.swidn.org.uk/join-us
This meeting of the SWIDN PMEL working group will be held jointly with the SW Evaluators' Forum (SWEF) and is bring your own (BYO) lunch if you would like to.
'Introduction to digital data collection using ODK'
Sam Adams (ILRI) will provide an introductory training on the ODK data collection system, a free software package that allows you to create custom surveys and conduct interviews using Android mobile devices. Sam will explain the basics of creating a survey, using simple coding in MS Excel. He will also show how the data is collected onto a server, where your team can access the data instantly.
The SWIDN PMEL Working Group is open to all paid Members of SWIDN (or staff of SWIDN Member organisations) who are interested in, and/or working on any of the topics - Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. This is pretty broad, covering everything from log frames and planning/reporting formats to hot issues like complexity and adaptive management. It should be interesting for NGO staff, as well as externals, e.g. external evaluators.
Please note that this is a bring your own (BYO) lunch event if you would like to.
