With Joomla 4 release getting closer one of the last duties of the J3 series is to introduce an update checker.

https://magazine.joomla.org/all-issues/may-2020/joomla-3-10-and-the-update-checker

J3.10 introduces a check to see if your J3 series sites components, plugins etc. are compatible with J4.

In Joomla London this month (18th August), we will be investigating the update checker. We are delighted to announce that Geraint Edwards, who has done much of the work on the update checker, will be joining the online session to answer any questions you might have.

We will be doing a live demonstration of 3.10 alpha, and what it tells us about the site we will be testing in preparation for an attempt to upgrade to J4.
