What we're about

Ellie K. has been running laughter yoga sessions since March 2013. She is certified as laughter yoga leader by Dr. Medan Kataria, the founder of Laughter Yoga. She has 7 years of experience running games and activities for various youth groups.

It doesn't matter who you are, you are welcome. Laughter is a universal language, so we understand each other,The act of laughing is something humans do that is understandable by everyone. It doesn't matter what race, countery, religion, ethnicity, or gender you are; we all recognize laughing as having a good time and enjoying life. Laughter is often contagious just like smiling. I know that from experience that I can start laughing just by watching other people laugh; without actually knowing what they're laughing at. Laughing is one of the most enjoyable things in life.

This group is for everyone , we use Laughter Yoga which is a unique technique devised by Dr Madan Kataria, a doctor from India, whereby you can learn to “Laugh for no Reason”You don’t even need a sense of humour, no funny jokes or comedy programmes – just a willingness to laugh – and in the current climate everyone needs to laugh. A happy soul Attracts Positive Life experience. Happiness is a light that shines so bright and leaves no room for doubt and darkness.

A good time to laugh is any time you can. ~Linda Ellerbee.

Enjoy the moment live in, and appreciate the present The past is history, tomorrow’s a mystery, and today’s a gift–that’s why they call it “the present”. Live in the moment and laugh unconditionally.

As well as public events I can offer laughter play-shops in companies, for hen and stag parties, charities or community groups.

I also organise dance walks; silent discos in public places, free hugs and cuddle workshops.

Hugs and Cuddle Workshop

The Canvas Café

We both love hugs and cuddles and massage and we know that lots of other people do too but for many people cuddle parties and workshops that are currently available in London are price prohibitive so we have decided to run one which is more affordable. First off, a disclaimer, we are not trained therapists and we acknowledge that the workshop may be triggering. We are there to make the space as safe as possible for you and you can choose which activities you’d like to join in and those you don’t. Everything is done with consent and we will be teaching about healthy boundaries and saying no. The workshop will involve hugs, laughter, cuddles, massage and other plutonic healing touch. There is a recommended donation of £10 on the day seven concessions or five in advance, however if you can’t afford to pay you’re welcome to come for free we won’t tell anyone the way for lack of funds. You can pay in advance https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/hugs-and-cuddle-workshop-tickets-72109881597. Donation go to No Means No Worldwide sexual violence prevention charity.
