JumpStart Davis Monthly Mixer

Downtown Davis will be hosting a Jumpstart Davis monthly mixer designed to strengthen and encourage the local startup community. The event will showcase several local startups and will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and connectors.

Jumpstart Davis, a spontaneous grassroots effort, firmly believes Davis has all the ingredients necessary to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. Jumpstart Davis is one small part of a growing network of organizations who understand that the key to vibrant local economies are homegrown startups.

The presenters this month are as follows:

Christopher Sprague founder of tCubed: tCubed is a classic game with a strategic twist for groups on the go. The game is a modified version of tic-tac-toe that's played on a cube. Players use arrows and portals to move from one side to another trying to get three-in-a-row on three sides before their opponent. Sound simple? Think again.

Julie from the Zigbee Alliance. The Zigbee alliance is the foundation and future of the IoT. Established in 2002, our wide-ranging global membership collaborates to create and evolve universal open standards for the products transforming the way we live, work, and play. With our members' deep and diverse expertise, robust certification programs, and a full suite of open IoT solutions, we are leading the movement toward a more intuitive, imaginative, and useful world.

Bill Habicht of Mosaic Tea & Coffee. A Startup Social Enterprise, Mosaic will provide job training for adults with disabilities, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to transition into the local work force.
