With this Meetup group we hope to create a home for all things JuniorDev.

We will be hosting a bi-monthly get-together known as the JuniorDev Social. Here we socialise and connect with our fellow Juniors to swap stories and share wins or disastrous fails (yup, those are normal) all while enjoying some food and drink provided by our generous sponsors.

Topic: "The importance of teams"

In the tech industry we are constantly having to work in teams. These teams may be a group of people you work with daily at the same company, but it also can be a fluid team consisting of clients, consultants and yourself. Working in these teams well is a important factor in our every day development - in fact most of us will be working in multiple teams all at the same time depending on the work you are doing at that very moment.

Jenny will be sharing tips and tricks from her experience on how to build teams, keep team stress levels down so that we can work with happy teams.

Profile:

Once a Web Developer, Jenny now works as a Engineering Manager at Human Made. When she started, she didn't do anything else for two weeks but organize a local conference. She is often found being an open source community evangelist, event organiser and sometimes a speaker.

Her days vary from solving issues on event sites, supporting event organisers, loudly cheering people on to contribute back to open source, and coming up with crazy ideas to help improve participation experiences in open source projects.

If you ever find her away from her laptop, she is usually binge watching F1 & anime, doing renovations or making a mess whilst cooking. You can find her around a messaging service making typos.
