Luis is a Senior CRM Consultant, and also one of the organisers of ImpactNPO, which exists to amplify social impact by harnessing potential for good. They facilitate local professional IT volunteers to spend a weekend developing IT solutions for local NPOs, by providing solutions to their IT problems.

Alix is a developer at Auror, a crime-fighting startup. She’s interested in a lot of different areas of tech, including mobile development, .NET development (especially C#) and any kind of infrastructure and site reliability engineering things. She graduated from AUT in 2014 with a Bachelor of Computer and Information Science majoring in Software Development.
This talk is a lightning tour of things she wished someone had told her about infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability engineering and how those things impact you as a developer. We’ll cover infrastructure as code, DevOps culture, and outline how infrastructure as code works with different platform as a service providers. There will also be time for questions, so bring your best burning queries.
