Juri Commons' long-awaited renovation has begun. There will be no volunteer days for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, please visit the park and tidy up when you have a moment. Wear gloves and take a trash bag. Save plastic bags and leave them in the dog bag holders. See you in the renovated park in early 2021!
The Juri Commoners are volunteers who care for Juri Commons, our park in the southwestern corner of San Francisco's Mission District, built on the old railroad right-of-way between Guerrero Street, San Jose Avenue and 25th and 26th Streets. (http://www.xrg.us/missionrailroad/) We've been volunteering since 2005. We work on the park on the last Saturday of the month from 9 AM to around 11, and we take turns patrolling the park once each day.
Watch this space, email and flyers to find out whether there will be a work day this month. One work day in early December replaces the work days at the end of November and December which would compete with Thanksgiving and Christmas.
