KDE is a top user interface for computers. It is designed to be highly customizable with familiar default behavior. It can be improved and distributed freely by users because of open source licensing. It is built on the Qt Framework which allows for easy cross platform deployment of sophisticated software.
Our meetup is intended for all levels of users, and especially people who want to customize, explore, develop new features, and refine existing behavior.
We get into coding examples, development assistance , presentations on new and proposed features, prototyping, and user research. We are focused on good user experience, with technical details such as coding to support the ability to get work done efficiently. A discoverable and maintainable code base is also a part of the user experience, this is facilitated by the great Qt toolkit.
