Title:
Build Streaming Applications with Apache Kafka using KSQL and SMTs

Abstract:
While relational databases still thrive as the foundation for transactional processing systems, they struggle with the volume, velocity and variety involved with modern, streaming applications. In this session, we’ll build an end-to-end streaming pipeline for real-time analytics using Apache Kafka. Watch as we transform relational database changes into streaming events using Kafka Connect, and transform those events using KSQL and single-message transforms (SMTs). Finally, we’ll demonstrate how Kafka enables a microservices architecture for downstream consumers, including real-time analytic applications.
