This group is for people interested in the teachings of Sri Karunamayi Amma, and in participating in local events, including satsangs and seva activities such as feeding the homeless in Toronto. Our goal is to be a place where people can connect and coordinate volunteer projects, meditations, and chanting sessions around the GTA under the guidance of Amma Sri Karunamayi.

Amma Sri Karunamayi is revered across the globe as an embodiment of Divine Motherly Love, due to the compassion and affection that she showers liberally on all people, animals, and even plants, the spiritual knowledge & guidance that she gives freely to all, and the charitable works that she has undertaken.

“Amma,” or Mother, as she is affectionately called by her followers, is internationally revered as a living saint, humanitarian, peace leader & spiritual teacher of a global scale. She is also the founder of SMVA Trust, an international charitable organization whose mission is to promote policies and implement service projects that advance poverty eradication, social justice, sustainable development and global unity.

Sri Mathrudevi Vishwashanthi Ashram Trust (SMVA Trust) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), humanitarian organization which creates a better world through programmes that reduce poverty, provide food, housing, clothing, medical treatment, education, humanitarian assistance, clean water and environmental stewardship. It is committed to values, insights, and programmes that contribute to achieving a world free of want, fear and violence, and is working towards  uplifting the world’s underprivileged community.

The SMVA Trust, working under the guidance of Amma Sri Karunamayi, has undertaken many humanitarian projects such as Free Schools, Free Hospitals, Mobile Medical Care, Free Housing Projects and Water Treatment Plants. The SMVA Trust is actively involved in community services like Feeding the Hungry, Clothing Distribution, Leprosy Care, Wheelchair Distribution, Natural Disaster Aid, Eye & Dental Screening, Cataract operations and much more by volunteers of the Trust around the globe.
