What we're about

Who are we?
This meetup group is about getting enthusiastic people together in the beautiful Okanagan who love photography and love exploring where we live, work and spend time. We plan to organize about two walks a month. In addition, we are always open to photo walk ideas and organizing help.

Who should join?
Any one interested in photography, exploring, meeting new people and learning from others who are interested in the same. It doesn't matter what your experience level is, what equipment you use, your age or wheather you shoot digital or film. This is a group for photography learners and enthusiasts...

What does it cost?
There is no charge to join Kelowna Photo Walks. The only cost is your time, transportation, and the occasional entrance charges that may come up. Coffee, snacks and lunch afterward are not included.

How do I join?
Just click on the join us button at the top of the page, tell us a little about your self and you are in. Simple. Then watch for up coming meet ups.

Hi photography friends! Happy Canada Day! Let's get out and shoot the fun and colourful activities in our cities, communities, or fun at home, anything that portrays our great country and it's special day. Because we are often busy with family, travelling, and with members in other cities, this is a virtual event, that will cover the weekend. Both downtown Kelowna, and West Kelowna, will be celebrating and you can find their schedules online.
Have you ever tried photographing fireworks? Maybe this is a chance to get some great shots! All members welcome to participate and to upload your pictures. We're looking forward to seeing them. Have fun!!

It's been a long 'COVID pause' in coming, but I am happy to announce that we are getting a second chance to go back to Spirit Ridge Equestrian Centre, in Glenmore. The picture above was taken when we were there in Sept 2019, and Amy has offered to set up some jumping for us, weather permitting. There are goats, lots of horses, and other lovely animals and of course Lucy the adorable dog. Lots of opportunities for some great photos. The directions are below and you can visit the website at www.spiritridgeequestrian.com Because this is private property, please wait outside the barn until we all arrive so that Amy can give us instructions as to where we can and cannot go. Also note, take the second entrance to the parking. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
