JavaScript Demos and Discussions

Details
This month we're moving the meeting to Awesome Inc's offices (http://awesomeinc.org). We're very greatful for their kind support and hope to bring some javascripting fun to their house.
Get ready scripting fans — its gonna be pretty awesome. Please invite anyone who you think would get something out of this meet up.
We’ve got two talks planned — one from Todd Willey (@xtoddx) and one from Chris Wininger. They’ll take about 15 to 20 minutes a piece. Then we’re gonna open up the floor for discussions.
Session # 1: Voxel.js - the Good and the Bad
Todd is going to talk about building block-based games with Voxel.js, an open source toolkit targeted at modern browsers. We’ll take a look at what drew him to this library, a few very simple piece of voxel in action, and why he decided to move on to Minetest (and it's Lua interface). Picking the right toolits/libraries for your app can make the difference between shipping and stalling. You want to hear what Todd's got to say about it.
Session # 2: Mandelbrot is JavaScript
Chris is going to demonstrate a Mandelbrot rendering tool implemented in js/html5 without third party APIs! We'll talk about some of the cool things canvas does and other features specific to html5 and ecma script 5. Chris also wrote a simple lib for taking blobs and creating tar files that he'll show off as well.
