Khronos Bangalore Chapter would like to invite industry professionals and enthusiasts in Bangalore for a short tutorial on OpenVX.
OpenVX is an open, royalty-free standard for cross platform acceleration of computer vision applications especially for embedded and real-time use cases such as gesture tracking, video surveillance, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), object and scene reconstruction, augmented reality, visual inspection, robotics and more.
Tutorial Objectives
Provide a overview of OpenVX with simple hands on examples

Basic working knowledge of vision systems, embedded systems, C programming, Linux development environment

Speakers
Kedar Chitnis is Principal Software Architect for Automotive ADAS business at Texas Instruments (TI) Incorporated. His domains of interest are imaging, video, vision system software and frameworks for embedded solutions. Dr. Venkat Ramana Peddigari is Senior Chief Engineer in Multimedia Systems Division at Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, India. He is currently leading the Vision SDK Framework Development for next generation mobile platforms. His domains of interest include image processing, computer vision, acceleration of imaging and vision algorithms and development of heterogeneous frameworks for embedded platforms such as smartphones. Venkat R Peddigari completed his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering with specialization in image processing at University of Texas at Dallas in 2007. He earned M.S and B.E degrees in Electrical Engineering in 2002 & 2000 respectively.
