Google Hangouts - collaborative writing - and Dash programming

Details

Come learn how to do collaborative writing using Google Hangouts. Two people can be working in the same Google Drive document at the same time -- while they videoconference with each other in a Hangout. We'll invent some simple fiction writing storylines that teams can work on. The goal is create a comfort level at doing collaborative writing with others. We'll make the activity fun, because laughter creates learning.

Please bring your Macintosh, Windows or Linux laptop with you to this event.

You should have the Google Hangouts plugin installed on your computer. You can download and install the plugin from this web site.

We'll also take a look at the Dash programming web site.

If you have time to explore Dash before the meeting, thanks for explaining what you like or don't like about this web site that teaches programming.

We'll also leave time in this meeting for any youth to show and explain any creative projects they've been working on -- or any skills they think others could benefit from having.
