What we're about

Launched in the Fall of 2018, the Kingston WordPress Group is bringing together WordPress enthusiasts of all types, whether you are a designer, programmer or end-user; beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

One of the great things about WordPress is its community. Once you connect with this, there is always somebody willing to support you or point you in the right direction. It doesn't matter whether you are a small business with a simple WordPress site that you want to keep up to date, a newbie blogger, are configuring/building sites for clients or developing plugins, themes and back-end applications for major corporate sites, there is room for everyone.

The Meetup and the meeting structure will continue to evolve in response to member interests and needs. This will include presentations on a wide range of WordPress related topics, and great discussion about all things WordPress, site review ('Show and Tell') - whatever seems to work well. As the group has grown, with more and more regular attendees, meetings are increasingly lively and interesting.

Join us, and find out why WordPress is so popular and is used by over 30% of the world's websites.

And, if you already have your own areas of expertise, help us to build a strong Kingston WordPress community by sharing your knowledge with others.

Getting started in WordPress - the basic toolkit and terminology

We plan to start with input from one or more of our members as to how they got started with WordPress, followed by a whistle-stop tour of what you need to know and where to find information to help you as you learn, tutorials, etc. We'll also aim to leave plenty of time for questions and discussion. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE!
