What we're about

This group is about meeting people, making new friends and improving your social life. Events are put on by members, so it should appeal to all people of all age groups and backgrounds, couples as well as singles.

There is an annual £5 membership fee (to help pay for the cost of the website), but after that there are no other costs. There is no extra charge to come to an event.

You do not have to go to an event, but if you do not go to a meetup for a year or visit the site for several months, you will be considered an inactive member and removed from the site. In that case, you are very welcome to rejoin the group if you wish to (re-)start taking part in meetups.

We do not insist you add a photo to your profile, but it will help us recognise you when you come to a meetup, so a clear photo showing your face is to your advantage.

Bar10 Teams Quiz Online

Needs a location

This is an online event, using zoom (if you don't have it, it's easy and free to download). Numbers are limited to 12 simply because we can't fit too many people on a small screen, and conversation will be difficult with more people. The quiz will take the form of a University Challenge type format with a starter question and three bonus questions. With the basic, free version of zoom, this meetup will be limited to 40 minutes, so we will then have a short break of 5 minutes and restart with a new link. After you have RSVP'd, I will send you both links for the meetup shortly before it starts, at the beginning of the week.
