What we're about

Sun, sand, fresh air and exercise all in one! Come out and play beach volleyball at two of Vancouver's best beaches! This fun group is for anyone wanting to play volleyball at Kitsilano or Spanish Banks Beaches. We are in our 7th season now! All skill levels welcome, and we usually organize the courts by skill levels. Due to lack of courts and the popularity at Kits, we will meet at Kits pretty much during March, April, September and October. And at Spanish Banks during June to August. Bring water, a hat, sunglasses, sun screen, a towel, and chair as needed. Nets and balls will be provided. Expect to meet most Sunday mornings and Wednesday Evenings for 3 hours! (weather permitting) Choose an annual $80 season pass membership fee (no other fees) to cover meetup.com fees, equipment, time and other admin costs. Or go with drop in for $15 drop-in fee every time. Looking forward to playing with current and new players! Add us on Facebook at "Beach Volleyball Vancouver" and on Instagram at "beachvolleyballvan"

We will ask you your level number when you check in *We may need to move players around if needed for the proper level of play at each net.

Price:
$15 drop-in or
$80 for the season pass (come to as many Sundays and/or Wednesdays drop ins as you like)

How long is the season?: Approx. 6+ months - normally we end in October, weather depending.

Ideas of what to bring: During hot days bring a hat 🧢, sunglasses 🕶, sandsocks 🧦, sunscreen🧴 and don't forget to keep hydrated with water, coconut 🌴 water, fresh fruit 🍉 juice etc - electrolytes are your friend!
During cooler days don’t forget a jacket/hoodie, sandsocks (or runners), and a warm hat!

Where 🏝: Most of the season we will play at Spanish Banks East/or West beach, Usually we try to play at Kitsilano Beach in April and Oct only, when we have less players at each event because there is less courts at Kitsilano Beach.
Both beaches are so beautiful though with gorgeous views of the ocean 🌊 mountains 🏔 and sunsets 🌅!

How to find us: When you get to the beach, look for a Canada 🇨🇦 flag on the post. Please try to be on time if you can, as we can’t hold courts without players (we've had our courts taken before and that’s no fun!)

Very important 🙌: Keep your RSVP up-to-date and take your name off the list if you aren't coming to allow people on the wait list to join and so we know how many people will be there.

Other events we do 😛:
Sometimes we will have the following other events, so keep an eye out for these on the meetup event list:
-One Day Tournaments 🥇 🥈 🥉
-Co-ed team leagues (4-5 weeks long) 🥇🥈🥉

See you on the beach! 🏝
