National Bike Challenge
May 1st marked the start of the National Bike Challenge. From May through September 30th communities, workplaces, schools and teams will compete against the rest of the nation to be the most cyclingest in their respective categories. People for Bikes will use the data for national bike policy work, but we will use it for crushing all other towns with a population of >50,000. You can record any mile ridden, for commuting or leisure. You can record miles at any time, even in bulk (i.e. a month at a time). You can hook up strava so you don't have to do anything at all. I want to put Klamath on the bike map. You with me?!?!?! There are prize drawings monthly with hundreds of prizes, from bike lights to bikes. How-to: 1) Hit up and fill out registration at https://nationalbikechallenge.org/register 2) Your zip code will code you to Klamath Falls. 3) Register for a team: after finishing your basic registration go to "my account" then "my profile." Here you can search for a team. Locate "lost cascades bike club." 4) Log your sweet sweet miles. You do this from the home page. You can set up strava to automatically log miles (!!!). 5) Collect accolades. 6) Scoop prizes. 7) Rub Medford's face in it.
