Join us to learn lessons from our community members Gail Chen and Brian Donohue, who have developed a Customer 360 view with a Knowledge Graph.
About the talk:
One of Capital One’s biggest assets is its data with over 70 million customer accounts. Capital One is defining and creating data relationships across divisions and systems, helping their organization better understand data while enhancing analytical capabilities through standardization, improved context, and increased efficiency.
The Enterprise Data Management team recently executed a Customer 360 Knowledge Graph Pilot, which enabled a unified view of customers by connecting data through standardized concepts and their logical relationships. Attend this talk to hear how the Capital One data team defined objectives, measured success, and their results. The team will also share how their knowledge graph immediately improved data quality and discoverability. Capital One is moving forward with work to leverage the knowledge graph to monitor and enhance data quality.
About the speakers:
Gail Chen is a Data Analyst at Capital One in the Enterprise Data Management organization. Currently, her main goals are to provide thought leadership and insights to support leadership’s initiatives and strategies. Gail’s day-to-day includes developing technical/analytical solutions, generating reports/insights out of business requirements, and communicating projects to various targeted audiences.
Brian Donohue is an Ontologist and also a member of the Enterprise Data Management organization at Capital One. His day to day consists of collaborating with divisions across the enterprise to design the business concepts and their context (ontology) that are used to create the Knowledge Graph. He is also finishing a PhD at the University at Buffalo on ontology and semantic technology.
