What we're about

This is a group for anyone who is contemplating or experiencing separation or divorce. We will meet at least monthly, and each meeting will give you direct access (for free!) to professionals who can arm you with the knowledge you will need to make the best decisions for you and your family. We will meet primarily in Raleigh, and the meetings will usually consist of a short presentation from a professional followed by a question and answer period or group exercise. We will feature attorneys, as well as therapists, financial planners, life coaches, and yoga and meditation teachers. Our goal is to address you as a whole person experiencing a significant transition, and to help you understand the process and take care of yourself during this difficult time. Although we hope you will feel a lot of connection and support from other group members, the purpose of this group is to provide an opportunity to interact with professionals (free of charge) who can help guide you through this difficult time. Please note that the organizer of this group is a partner at Haas Tharrington, P.A. - a family law firm. However, the purpose of this group is to build community and offer resources to people experiencing separation and divorce. There will be presentations from many different types of professionals, and there will be NO pressure or sales tactics of any kind. We value your privacy and anonymity, and will not ask you to provide any identifying information about yourself. No professional speaker will contact you directly after the presentation unless you reach out first.

*** For all legal presentations - if your spouse (or the adverse party in your matter) is represented by a member of the law firm that is presenting, please disclose that prior to attending the presentation.
