Welcome to Korea Nurses Meetup! Based in NYC/NJ/PA - although we are a network across USA. You do not have to be resident of USA or NYC/NJ/PA. Requirements to join are: you must be a nursing student or hold an RN license from Korea, U.S. or other nation and you are of Korean ancestry with aspiration of working in USA or studying here or currently working in USA.
Only real clear photos of your face and names on profiles will be approved for membership. No exceptions.
This group is for Korean nurses to network and share stories of their journey through healthcare and providing helpful tips for jobs and network opportunities and housing.
We also will have a kakao chat group for those wishing to practice writing in English instead of exclusively in Hangul (Korean)
Prerequisite for this group: You MUST provide a real photo of yourself, showing your face.
THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. This is Meetup, there's no reason to be secretive about your identity, so if you don't understand this, we are not the group for you. We encourage a comfortable atmosphere and open attitude towards meeting new faces (not scenic photos or animals, etc.)
You MUST be Korean or Korean American.
One rule concerning events:
If there are less than 6-8 RSVP's (depending on which event), the meetup event will have to be either rescheduled or canceled.
If you do not SHOW for events you have RSVP'ed for - you will be selectively removed from Events you have RSVP'ed for. Meaning, if we have a large group and people are on a waiting list - you will be removed and then we will allow a new member (with a better attendance history) to attend in your place.
If you no show more than 2-3 times, you will be removed from the group. You must be respectful and considerate to others and this shows that you are not concerned with other people's schedules.
Thank you for your interest and hope to welcome you into the group!
