Hands-on: Getting Started with Kotlin and React

Details

This event is neither a lecture nor a workshop, I will only moderate the evening. We will meet in a relaxed atmosphere and work through a three-part article by Ralf Stuckert on the subject of Kotlin and React. We help each other if we don't understand something or if we encounter a problem. The aim of the evening is to work together, to learn something new and to spend a nice evening together. Drinks and snacks are provided as usual!

Important: You need your own notebook or you come together with a friend and you share a notebook. Also remember to take a power supply with you!

Here is Ralf's intro to his series of articles:
"One of the hot topics of the KotlinConf 2017 keynote in San Francisco was multiplatform development with Kotlin, Kotlin/Native and Kotlin/JS. The latter has been demonstrated using the Kotlin wrappers for React, which allows you to write React apps using Kotlin. This sounds promising, since it allows you to write both (web-based) front- and backends using one language. You may even share code using multiplatform projects, but that is a topic on its own. In this three-part article I’d like to give an introduction to Kotlin-React. I assume that you know React (if not, have a look at this tutorial: https://reactjs.org/tutorial/tutorial.html) and Kotlin."
