šŸ’¬ Kotlin Flow by Alex Piotrowski

In this presentation we will have a look at Kotlin Flow - a (not so new) library that introduces cold asynchronous data streams that sequentially emit values and complete normally or with an exception. Will compare that a bit to RxJava and hopefully see that all that time spent on Rx wasn't for nothing.

Alex is a father of two beautiful chihuahuas, Android dev in free time.

šŸ’¬ From callbacks to coroutines: making a KTX library by Wojtek Kaliciński

A closer look at the lower level building blocks of coroutines and Flow that let you transition existing Java-based APIs into a Kotlin coroutine world. I'll use a small KTX (Kotlin Extensions) library for one of the Android APIs as an example and show you how to implement your own. If time permits, we will also discuss some interesting Java-Kotlin interop issues and solutions.

Wojtek is a Developer Advocate on the Android team and works primarily to support developers in building great apps using Android Studio and Kotlin, as well as new Play features. He enjoys looking for ways to make apps more usable, mostly through better development patterns and code optimizations.

šŸ’¬ A comparison between Kotlin Native approach and native solutions by Marek Multarzyński

In this presentation you will be introduced to the Kotlin Native compilation and we will determine its reasonable use. You will see the result of the Kotlin Native compilation on many platforms. I will present a comparison between Kotlin Native approach and native solutions.

Marek is an Android and Embedded Engineer at Polidea. He has been working on both IoT sides—mobile and hardware. Marek’s interests lie in communicating and joining different parts of mobile products.
