Kotlin Zagreb, June 28th

Details
The summer is hot and the second Kotlin Zagreb Meetup has been scheduled!
We are a community of both enthusiasts and beginners interested in Kotlin, we meet up to talk, network and have fun.
The entrance is free of charge and the Meetup will take place in Undabot. The number of places is limited, so please reserve your spot on time and grab a chance to listen to these great talks:
First up is Filip Babić with the topic "Taming Android networking with Kotlin Coroutines".
Description: Since Kotlin came to Android, many great magical gateways have been opened to us. One of which is the one leading to the world of asynchronicity.
By using Coroutines, we've gained powers to ride threads towards clean and user-friendly networking without callbacks and dirty exceptions! Wrapping all this in some Sealed-class goodness, we're able to create delightful APIs that produce amazing Results. Find out how by joining us on this crazy adventure!
Bio: Filip is a 21-year-old student, programmer, writer, mentor, teacher and uh... Gamer! He's hugely focused on Android development in all it's forms, by both learning, and being a teacher. Over the course of nearly three years, he's worked on a bunch of client projects and he's also been active in the Osijek Software City community by holding over half of the Android talks for the local Android community, mentoring young developers, holding an Android Dev Academy for those who wish to learn Android from scratch, writing tons of articles about bits and bobs and lately, by writing tutorials for the RayWenderlich team.
Oh, and sometimes he also goes to college, or outside!
Next up, we have Ian Rumac with the topic "Breaking up with RxJava".
Description: When RxJava came along, it made our lives so easy that most Android developers jumped ship.
Soon, it was everywhere and everything was a stream. But was that really a good idea?
Now that we have Kotlin, a lot of painpoints solved by (ab)using RxJava are solvable by using plain Kotlin (well, experimental).
So should we be jumping ship again? What makes Kotlin a better solution for most of your problems?
In this talk we’ll take a dive into some of Kotlin’s features and find out how, when and why to say “No” to RxJava.
Bio: Ian is a software architect at Undabot. He spends his days tinkering with Android, and when he takes a break from coding and testing, you can find him playing with gadgets, falling off a skateboard or explaining how the Jedi are actually evil.
