Welcome to the Kraków Bitcoin Meetup for July.
At this meetup, we will give insights into how you as a beginner can get into saving and investing in Bitcoin and secure it in a safe way.
It's important to note that this will not be a broad guide telling you about all the available options. On the contrary, we will dive into one specific tool for Bitcoin saving and one specific storage tool option.
With us to talk about Bitcoin storage is Adam Sarama, seasoned investor and sales executive, who will take us through the features of the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet. The Ledger Nano S is by many considered the best hardware wallet, as it offers high security and a friendly user interface. Owning any significant amount of cryptocurrency requires a certain security infrastructure, making a hardware wallet an obligatory investment.
For Bitcoin saving, we have Ruben Waterman to tell us about the tool he has built, Bittr, which helps you with Bitcoin saving through the so-called dollar-cost averaging method. Bittr deducts a set amount, weekly, monthly or quarterly, from your bank account, converts it, and sends it straight to your BTC wallet. This approach of entering the market in regular intervals is considered one of the safest investment strategies, as it will remove the risk of mistiming your entire position.
This time, we will meet at Café Szafe, and again we will get free pizza from our sponsor Beam!
The Kraków Bitcoin Meetup is an initiative for Bitcoin enthusiasts in the city of Kraków, Poland, organized by BitSpace. The event is held frequently and aims to connect the brightest local crypto minds together. It also aims to provide educational value through presentations and workshops for people who want to learn more about Bitcoin. Even though this event is primarily about Bitcoin, you are of course permitted to mention other cryptocurrencies :)
The events are free of charge, and there are no knowledge requirements for you to participate. Come and learn!
Please invite other people who might be interested in attending.
If you have something to share or announce with the meetup, give a heads up and the stage is yours. Anything that might be valuable for a local crowd of bitcoiners is very welcome.
Additionally, we're always looking for interesting speakers to talk at the meetups. if you or someone you know has insightful things to say on a Bitcoin-related topic, don't hesitate to discuss it with me, and we will schedule a talk.
