I hope that your holidays are amazing! However, if you still don't have any plans for one of your summer Saturdays and you are eager to learn Scala and Akka, we have something for you. Our KSUG group in cooperation with Ocado Technology and Michał Płachta will organize a series of workshops for you.

The first workshop will be held on Saturday, 5.08.2017. This is a free whole-day workshop and lunch is included.
- "Akka in Scala"
Get some theoretical and practical overview of the actor model and asynchronous programming.
You will learn how to program real applications using Akka and Scala. Throughout the day we will switch between quick introductions of the core features and longer step-by-step exercises. This will expose you to all features and tools needed to create and maintain production applications.

Prerequisites:
- Familiarity with Scala syntax.
