📌 PRESENTATIONS

📌 Paweł Badeński – High performance in JS
I will tell you a story of our journey to run a real-time financial calculation engine in the browser using JavaScript. You'll hear about your usual suspects - React, Redux, ImmutableJS, RxJS, etc. but this time in the context of processing up to 1000 events per second. I will also focus on the general principles of good design, which is a foundation of high-performance applications.

Paweł is Co-Founder & CTO @ London based fintech PricingMonkey.
He has been a coder for nearly 15 years now. Performance engineering has been one of his biggest passions in software. He got hooked on many years ago when working on a Java-based airline scheduling system.
Then, a few years ago, he switched his focus to JavaScript and the world of browsers. One thing stays the same, as his former colleague said to him many years ago "Contrary to what many people think – performance engineering is hard."
