Talk: Streams Must Flow, Deploying fault-tolerant stream processing applications to Kubernetes
Speaker: Viktor Gamov

All things change constantly, and we need to get on board with streams! Kafka Streams, Apache Kafka’s stream processing library, allows developers to build sophisticated stateful stream processing applications which you can deploy in an environment of your choice. In this talk, Viktor explains the essentials of dynamic scaling and state migration in Kafka Streams.

Talk: Severless from Scratch
Speaker: Dan Gordon from Gitlab

Abstract:

Starting from scratch, let's provision a Gitlab cluster, install Knative, and build a serverless CI/CD function to deliver software. We'll explore how to create a platform for developers and enable folks to get off the ground with serverless functionality.

Bio:

Dan is passionate about making modern software delivery practices as ubiquitous as wearing a seatbelt.

Talk: Living on the Edge with K3s
Speaker: Jason van Brackel
Abstract:

With a 40MB binary footprint and an easy installation process K3s is the perfect Kubernetes distribution for working out on the edge. During this presentation we will discuss k3s architecture, compare it to upstream Kubernetes, and demo the setup of a k3s platform.

Bio:
