What we're about

Kubernetes Phoenix is the official Kubernetes meetup for Phoenix, Arizona. We host talks from anyone doing cool things with Kubernetes, including companies using K8S in production or vendors who are pushing the boundaries of what K8S can do. Presentations are demo focused and not sales pitches.

This group follows these three central ideas:

• We believe in open sponsorships, so anyone can cover the cost of food, space, and travel for speakers. To not price out smaller vendors, sponsorship prices are not set beyond the cost. Organizations donating speakers, food/drinks, or space will automatically count as sponsors for the event.

• We believe in democratized organization, so anyone in the Kubernetes community that wants to help organize can be a part of process.

• We believe that all Kubernetes Meetups should be democratic and those that do not allow others to take part in organizing and sponsoring are not in the spirit of open source. To become an organizer, sponsor, or speaker, please reach out to us!

HashiCorp Vault Overview

Needs a location

Looking forward to our next K8s Phoenix Meetup event, which will be held on Tuesday, June 7th. We will not have an event in July due to folks traveling in the summer, and we will plan to regroup in August.

Robert Peteuil (HashiCorp Solutions Engineer) will be providing an overview of HashiCorp Vault. The overview will help you gain a better understanding of how Vault contributes in the following ways:
Adopt- Adopt centralized secrets management to eliminate secret sprawl
Build- Build out enterprise supported secrets management to automate application delivery and consume secrets programmatically
Standardize- Standardize Vault as a service with encryption workloads and secrets as a service across your organization
Innovate- Innovate with advanced data protection workloads to protect even the most sensitive data

About HashiCorp Vault:
HashiCorp Vault tightly controls access to secrets and encryption keys by authenticating against trusted sources of identity such as Active Directory, LDAP, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, and cloud platforms. Vault enables fine grained authorization of which users and applications are permitted access to secrets and keys.

Please register so we have an accurate count for food.
