Aarti & Satsang for World Peace with SwaminiJi

Kula Kamala Foundation & Yoga Ashram

What is an Aarti? Aarti, also called the celebration of light, is a prayerful spiritual ceremony, in which a special candle lamp is lit and its light is revered and offered to the essence of our One Source through heart felt intention. The intention offered through the Aarti at Kula Kamala Ashram is World Peace, Self Responsibility, Service, and Compassion. The aarti ritual includes the ringing of a bell, the lighting of the lamp, the clockwise circling of the lamp three times by each participant (if they choose to participate versus observe), and the chanting of a specific Vedic mantra for peace. Aarti is an expression of love towards the Divine and toward All. The ceremony is performed with a sense of deep reverence and meditative awareness. What is Satsang? Satsang is an opportunity to sit with an experienced spiritual teacher and to hear and absorb the guidance and teachings of yoga.Spiritual discussion includes an exploration of the wisdom of Yoga, it's scriptures, and the parallels that exist between it and other spiritual practices and systems. Restorative Yoga with Charles

Kula Kamala Foundation & Yoga Ashram

Restorative Yoga re-energizes tired achy bodies and minds through the practice of relaxation into postures that are supported with props. In this class students can expect that their overworked or underworked but stressed muscles will release, allowing the superficial and the deeper facia (connective) tissues to be nourished. Once these tissues are nourished the whole being is more vibrant and balanced and circulation (breath, blood, immunity, and prana) becomes more functional. If you are a new student, on your first visit you will need to complete a liability waiver. If you have a liability waiver already on file, please use the Returning Student Sign In Book. Please keep us updated with any changes to your contact information on file. Yoga classes are by donation. Suggested minimum offering is $10 per class.
