Kundalini Yoga ... Tuesday evenings 6.30-8.00pm in Cotham, Bristol
Kundalini yoga, known as the yoga of awareness, is a powerful and transformative form of yoga. We work with the breath, yoga postures, mudras, eye focus, body locks, sound, chanting and meditation to release physical and emotional blocks, strengthen the nervous system and balance the glandular system. Through regular practice of these yogic techniques you will create a healthier, stronger, more flexible physical body and increase your stability and vitality, improve your mental concentration and sharpen your awareness, connect with your inner wisdom and create a happier, healthier, more prosperous life. Kundalini yoga is suitable for all levels and ages. A typical class will include: Tuning in chant Warm up exercises which will prepare you for the yoga set (kriya) to follow Kriya – a series of exercises designed to affect a particular aspect of yourself Deep relaxation Meditation Tuning out chant Please bring… A mat A blanket for the deep relaxation A bottle of water It’s best to practice on an empty stomach so try not to eat for 2 hours before the class starts Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes
