What we're about

A social justice book club, with the goal of inspiring inclusive conversation around progressive issues. Meeting monthly at various coffee shops owned by women and minorities around the city, discussing books focused on equality and social justice. Great conversation, caffeine and literature. -- "You want weapons? We're in a library. Books are the best weapon in the world. This room's the greatest arsenal we could have. Arm yourself!"

June MeetUp: The Power

Intersect Coffee

Sticking with our goal to rotate between fiction and non-fiction, we're reading The Power by Naomi Alderman this month! Looking at a world where women have developed a weapon that makes them physically threatening to men, The Power explores gender roles, but also the nature of power itself. We're headed to female-owned Intersect coffee shop and would love for you to join us!
