My favorite brunch in LA is undoubtedly the fabulous spread at Tres by Jose Andres, at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. You guys may be better acquainted with The Bazaar or Saam in the same location, but you can get a little taste of Spain and Jose Andres' pursuit of perfection in these brunches.
There are three basic options: (http://www.sbe.com/menu/tres/Tres_Brunch.pdf)
1)Brunch Table -$42- Brunch buffet with coffee/tea and juice and now endless Cava!
2)Brunch Experience - $52 - The above + one brunch entree + a cava mimosa
3)A La Carte
**I have an SBE partners card which will get us a 10% discount.
I highly recommend option 1, it's a great value when you just hang around and eat until you're full, talk a bit and eat even more! The quality of the food is incredible; it's not what you think of when you think of a typical buffet of any kind.
Some highlights from the brunch table & menu:
House made yogurt (absolutely heavenly)
Agua Fresca (they usually have ~4 kinds)
House made chocolates & confections
Jamon/ charcuterie and cheeses
A La carte:
12 Quail Eggs Sunny Side Up
Soft Egg 63 with Jamon Serrano
