Kayak the Driftwood River

We will be kayaking with several other groups. It’s a great way to meet and enjoy new people.

Spend a relaxing 4-6 hours kayaking the lovely Driftwood River in central, southern Indiana. This is a shallow river and an easy paddle. Bring plenty of fluids, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray (I've never had problems with bugs when I have kayaked this river but I always go prepared).

There are beaches on which to take breaks, as well as swimming holes. Dogs are welcome.

You may rent a canoe or kayak, or bring your own. Canoe rental is $23 per person, kayak rental is $35. If you bring your own canoe/kayak, there is a charge of $10-15 to shuttle with charge based on size of group. We will be shuttled to the put in, and will take out at Blues Beach.

Blue's closes in case of inclement weather or dangerous water levels. I will check on the 16th and post an update in the comments. If you want to go up Friday instead of Saturday, Blue's is located at the Edinburgh outlet mall exit where there are hotels, or you can camp at Blues if you want to enjoy more of the Blue's vibe.
