Xamarin enables C# developers to become mobile app developers overnight. In this talk, you will learn how to leverage your existing .NET and C# skills to create cross-platform iOS and Android mobile apps in Visual Studio with Xamarin.Forms. Xamarin also lets you reuse existing .NET libraries and share your business logic across all .NET platforms. This talk covers an introduction to Xamarin, building cross-platform UIs with Xamarin.Forms, using Xamarin.Essentials to share platform-specific API code, and some of the amazing productivity tools you get when you write Xamarin apps.

Speaker:
Maddy Leger is a Program Manager on the Xamarin team at Microsoft working on developer productivity. As a Microsoft PM intern, Maddy worked on Ink to Code, a Microsoft Garage project that takes drawn UIs and converts them into Xamarin.Forms XAML. That's when she fell in love with mobile development, the Xamarin team, and creating awesome developer tools.
