Hi Ladies!

This is to let you know that our group now has over 600 members! Wow! I think it's great, because it shows that our group is interesting, inviting and fun! On the other hand, the thought of having 600 people in a group you are joining can be really intimidating! I know that some girls will join, and feel so nervous, they might take a year to actually come to an event. Trust me, you are not alone! It can be stressful to go to an event and commit 2-3 hours of your time without knowing who you will meet, what they will be like, and so on.

Therefore, I came to a conclusion: we will try to keep the group nice and cozy. I have looked at the list of our members, and we have quite a few who have not been active in over 6 months, some even for over a year. According to meetup's definition, an inactive member is someone who has not logged in to the website in over 3 months. I think, since it's summer and LA is a busy town, we can be more lenient, but let's say if someone has not visited the website in over 6 months, we can consider them inactive. And if they are inactive, we really don't need them. Our group is about quality - not quantity! I think, most of us would much rather meet 2-3 girls they connect with at a deeper level and they decide to hang out together outside of this group too, then meet a hundred girls whom they will never see again.

So I will send an e-mail to all girls who have not been active for 6 months or more, asking them to login and browse the website, hopefully even come to some events! I will give them until the 15th. If they do so, great! I hope we will meet them soon! If not, I will remove them, and they are welcome to join the group again when they have more time to do so. I don't think it's too harsh, because it takes literally 2 minutes to login, and if you do so, meetup will register you again as an active member. However, right now out of our 603 members, nearly 100 are inactive. So let's get them to be active or be gone!
