  • Thursday Night Griffith Park Pack Walk

    4400 Crystal Springs Dr

Thursday Night Walks are a social opportunity for you and your dog. MEETING LOCATION: North end of the parking lot by the pony rides/railroad (google maps: "Griffith Park & Southern Railroad") on Crystal Springs Drive. Please arrive on time, we will leave at 7. DISTANCE: ~3 miles, total duration depends on people attending, weather, etc. TRAIL: Dirt, concrete DIFFICULTY: Easy to moderate (easy, mixed with some slight inclines at the beginning or end depending which direction we'll go) DISTRACTION LEVEL: Moderate. Expect to pass joggers, maybe bikes, other dogs, possibly horses, but evenings can be often empty as well. This walk offers a slight hike, but should be considered more of a walk. Be advised that we are close to the 5 freeway during parts of the walk. If that bothers you, I suggest you still give it a try and decide afterwards if you'll join again. In the end, it still gets you and the pup outside, socializing in a controlled pack environment. PSA: I would like for every participant to be on the lookout to pick up trash along the way, I will bring bags to collect it, though, I encourage everyone to bring one themselves. While we may not contribute to the problem, let's set a responsible example by leaving it better than we found it! LARPBO Pack Walk Guidelines: # 1 All dogs must be on a secure collar and leash. Dogs using e-collars must also be on a leash. Prong collars should be backed up with a carabiner. Short leashes are recommended (less than 6 feet).
