Subject: Fast response to attack traffic on the Internet is critical to protecting CDN customer websites, as well as network infrastructure. This technical talk will discuss the design and challenges of low-latency rate limiting at the network and application layer in the wild.

Speakers: David Andrews received his PhD, focusing on computer security, from a small University in Australia in 2006 (no, you haven't heard of it ;). Since then he has worked for startups in the LA area building security products in the virtualization and CDN spaces. He now heads up the Security Core (Sec.C.) team at Verizon Digital Media Services, whose responsibilities include protecting infrastructure that delivers 6% of all Internet traffic, as well as customers' websites.

Validated visitor parking is available starting after 6:30PM on parking level 1. Look for the signs that say "Visitor Parking." Bring your ticket with you so we can validate it before you leave.
