LA Tech4Good showcases innovative social impact work utilizing technology in a monthly event series. We believe that a rising tide lifts all boats and hope to inspire tech solutions that support change. We also work to narrow the gap between the SoCal social impact and tech worlds, from raising nonprofit tech capacity to engaging technologists in the support of social endeavors.
Los Angeles is home to more nonprofit organizations than any other city in the US. We have unparalleled diversity, measured by a wide number of criteria: ethnicity, age, gender, sexual identity, languages spoken, industry experience, and more. LA Tech4Good exists to bring together people from all literal and figurative corners of our city for conversation and community building.
Come join a conversation on tech and politics with 2 founders in the civic tech space – Amit Thakkar and Aaron Lyles. Learn how they strategically designed and built their products to make a difference in today’s political atmosphere. Together they have a wealth of experience with vision, concept validation, MVP, market research and pivots, engagement points, funding for social enterprise startups, and more. They’ll share how they actually built their platforms and speak to key challenges of breaking into the civic tech space.

Hear from the entrepreneurs and technologists who are using their skills and resourcefulness to address multiple ways to fight this growing problem.
We will focus on some challenge areas with A Call to Action and at least two initiatives. Our goal is to engage, inspire and activate the tech and investor community to make a commitment with time, talent and/or treasure.
