501 Tech Club Monthly Meetup

Details
The LA chapter of the 501 Tech Club is back in action! In July we will be holding the first event of the year to reboot our club. We have a series of events lined up for the year on topics like social media and volunteer management. Be there as we kick off the first event and learn about best practices for using mobile technology to promote your nonprofit. Join us for snacks, drinks, and networking. Chris Brereton of PwrdBy and Jorge Gonzalez of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority will be speaking about the project planning process when considering mobile development and the effective uses of mobile technology for nonprofits.
Chris Brereton is a tech-for-good evangelist and founder of PwrdBy. He sits at the forefront of a rapidly-growing mobile technology industry centered around nonprofit and social good. PwrdBy is a DIY app builder that gives non-profits the ability to take their missions mobile.
Jorge Gonzalez is a Policy and Planning Analyst at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. Jorge has extensive technical mapping experience as well as community organizing and planning knowledge. His most recent work includes the planning for the 2015 Homeless Count and integrating new technologies such as interactive web-based mapping.
