Open Source: Sharing Some Lessons I Learned From My Open Source Experience

There are many great reasons to contribute to open source, but getting started can be intimidating. Let me share with you some of the things that I learned from my experience with contributing to open source projects over the past year. In this talk I will share ideas on how to find a project, decide on what to contribute, common gotchas when contributing code, and overcoming the imposter syndrome that might be preventing you from submitting that first issue or pull request.
