What we're about

This group is for all ages and persons that enjoy the world of LEGOs. This group is to bring people together, get out of the house with the kids or the kid within, and build friendships.

COSTS: This group will not collect any fees to join but may require a deposit if members need to "Borrow" from the CORE (the persons designated as the facilitators of a larger building competition) in order to participate in the event or competition. The group will also take donated LEGOs to furnish events and to sell at fundraising auctions to pay for future events. The goal is to establish a group fund that allows our group to expand in number of events and locations without placing the burden of hosting future events on the members. -See "Fund Raising" in Rules section.

There are going to be Five Levels of Members:

CORE Administrator: The governing members of the group that defines and enforces the rules of the group, but does not necisarily have to be a CORE Event Manager.

CORE Event Manager(s): This person is designated as an Event creator and facilitates the greeting of new members, informs on the rules of the group, and the purpose of their event being held.

CORE Event Assistants: These are members that are designated as event facilitators and can be judges to event competitions. These members can also facilitate donations to the group and hold bake sales and fundraisers during an official event.

Build Masters: These members are designated as members that have one or more of the following:
*CW: Building Skills with Competition Winner status
*EC: Exceptional Collection (exceeding 400 LBS in organized LEGO weight, total)
*ED: Exceptional Designers have a proven history of sells/trades of LEGO art.

Build Members: Anyone that just wants to have fun and meet fellow members with LEGOs

Needless to say, all members will fall into one or more category as they grow within the group.

*Once we grow the group to:
50 members: 3 CORE Administrators selected, no more than 3 CORE Event Managers, Less than 5 CORE Event Assistants
100 members: 4 CORE Administrators, no more than 4 CORE Event Managers, less than 10 CORE Event Assistants
200 members: 5 CORE Administrators, no more than 4 CORE Event Managers, less than 10 CORE Event Assistants, Hosted 1 Monthly Competition with Prizes for First Place @ $100, Second Place @ $50, and Third @ $25
400 members: 6 CORE Administrators, no more than 5 CORE Event Managers, less than 15 CORE Event Assistants, Hosted 2 Monthly Competition with Prizes for First Place @ $100, Second Place @ $50, and Third @ $25
800 members: 6 CORE Administrators, no more than 6 CORE Event Managers, less than 20 CORE Event Assistants, Hosted 2 Monthly Competition with Prizes for First Place @ $150, Second Place @ $75, and Third @ $40
1400 members: Let us hope!!!

Basic Rules:

BRICK TRADING/SELLING(s):
This group will not take responsibility for any trade transactions, but understands the desire to build collections and exchanges between members with the help of other members. If any exchange does take place between members it is recommended that a value comparison be done via bricklink.com, ebay, or any online exchange, AND recommended be done with a member witness; thus, avoiding any conflicts during a meetup or build competition. The purpose for this rule is to avoid miscommunications and intimidation felt by other members, basically make your trade terms clear before conducting them. It never hurts to offer to multiple collectors on your your sell or purchase of items. Just avoid intimidation when offering or receiving an offer; as well as, take time to consider multiple offers. Offer your trades at the beginning of the meetings and if you get the best offer by the end of the meeting, then...great!
