What we’re about

Most managers seem to work in isolation or in small groups, meaning that many of them are left to fend off by themselves all the hassle that engineering management entails.

There might be books and a few other sources, but there should also be a physical space to share knowledge amongst peers.

LEM aims to be that space.

From hiring to laying people off, scaling teams up or down, managing people, egos and expectations, conducting performance evaluations, or setting up new processes, everything is open to discussion.

We want to address methodologies, productivity, code quality, interacting with other teams (from research to product or design), how to manage C-level expectations, how to handle competition and turnover, and more, much more.

Join us if you're an engineering manager in any capacity or if you're interested in learning more about this walk of life.

Presentations default to Portuguese unless the audience requires them to be in English.
